Patti Fralix
Patti Fralix came to UVA in 1970 from Virginia Beach, graduating in 1974 with a BSN. While at UVA Patti served on Corks and Curls and the committee on racial issues. Following graduation, she moved to Alabama where she began her eighteen-year healthcare career. Patti taught nursing at two Alabama colleges and completed her MSN and received a Nursing Services certificate at UAB. In 1981 Patti relocated from Alabama to North Carolina where she served as a healthcare executive in two NC hospitals.
In 1992, Patti left healthcare and started her Leadership Development business, which is still operational today. She is the author of four published books, numerous business articles, and a weekly blog, itsinthesauce.com. Patti’s passion is inspiring positive change in work, life, and family, which she does, in addition to her writings, through Professional Speaking, Consulting, and Coaching. She was honored by the Triangle Business Journal as the 2016 Women in Business Awards honoree in the “Inspiration” category. Patti has held numerous leadership positions at the local, state, and national level.
